  • ⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Purple gel food coloring
  • Halloween sprinkles or purple sanding sugar
  • 33 unwrapped chocolate kisses

  1. Cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, peanut butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Chill the dough for at least one hour.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll chilled dough into rounds about 2-2.5 inches wide and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  4. Let cookies cool completely before placing a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie. Decorate with purple gel food coloring around the base of each kiss and sprinkle with Halloween decorations.
