  • 1/2 cube fresh yeast
  • 80 g granulated sugar
  • 250 ml warm milk (40-46°C)
  • 70 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 450 g Hokkaido pumpkin puree
  • 120 g granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 113 g cream cheese, softened
  • 180 g powdered sugar

  1. Activate the yeast by crumbling it into warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar; let it foam for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix in remaining sugar, egg, melted butter, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
  3. Gradually add flour to form a shaggy dough; knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare filling by mixing softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon into a paste.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly.
  7. Roll tightly into a log; slice into twelve equal pieces.
  8. Arrange rolls in a greased baking pan; let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. For frosting, blend cream cheese and butter; gradually mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
