  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms
  • 3 cups beef broth

  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs (20-24 total) and sear in a skillet until browned on all sides.
  4. Sauté onions and mushrooms in the same skillet until tender; create a roux by adding flour.
  5. Whisk in beef broth and seasonings; simmer briefly.
  6. Layer gravy in slow cooker; add meatballs and top with remaining gravy.
  7. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  8. Optional: Thicken gravy with cornstarch slurry during last half hour of cooking.
  9. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice; garnish with parsley.
