  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add onions and bell peppers; sauté until caramelized (8-10 minutes).
  2. Push veggies aside and add the beef to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and smoked paprika. Mix well.
  4. Simmer on low heat for about 20-30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Serve the mixture on toasted buns topped with provolone cheese.
