  • Brown sugar
  • Dijon mustard
  • Hamburger buns
  • Provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers; sauté until softened (8–10 minutes).
  2. Push veggies aside; add steak pieces seasoned with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard; mix well.
  4. Bring to a simmer; cover and cook for 20–30 minutes to meld flavors.
  5. Toast hamburger buns if desired; place cheese on the bottom half.
  6. Spoon the mixture over the cheese on each bun and top with the other half.
