Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining warm water, granulated sugar, and active dry yeast in a bowl. Let it sit until foamy.
  2. Mix in flour and salt until shaggy dough forms. Gradually add olive oil and knead until smooth.
  3. Allow the dough to rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (1-1½ hours).
  4. Punch down the dough, shape into bite-sized balls, and let them rise again (30-45 minutes).
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake bites for 12-18 minutes until golden.
  6. Brush with garlic butter topping and serve warm.
