  • 1 lb lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded carrots

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and water.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef and drain excess grease.
  3. Pour the marinade over the beef and simmer until thickened.
  4. Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and rinse.
  5. Sauté bell pepper and broccoli until tender-crisp.
  6. Combine noodles with beef mixture and sautéed veggies; toss well.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
