  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 5 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 (14 oz) bag soft caramels, unwrapped
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in vanilla extract and eggs; gradually mix in dry ingredients.
  4. Press two-thirds of the dough into the prepared pan.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt caramels with evaporated milk and peanut butter until smooth.
  6. Pour caramel over the dough base; sprinkle with chocolate chips and crumble remaining dough on top.
  7. Bake for 25-35 minutes or until golden brown; let cool before cutting into squares.
