  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 16 oz white frosting (store-bought)
  • Neon green gel food coloring
  • M&M candies (orange, green, and purple)
  • Instructions for Preparation:

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla.
  3. Gradually combine dry ingredients into wet ingredients until no flour streaks remain.
  4. Chill dough for at least an hour before rolling out to cut shapes.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake shaped cookies for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Cool completely before decorating with green frosting and M&Ms.
