  • All-purpose flour

  • Brewed coffee
  • Semi-sweet chocolate
  • Heavy cream

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. In another bowl, combine buttermilk and cooled coffee.
  6. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture alternately with the buttermilk mixture.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool before crumbling.
  8. For ganache, heat heavy cream until simmering; pour over chopped chocolate and whisk until smooth.
  9. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  10. Assemble jars by layering crumbled cake, ganache, and frosting. Decorate as desired.
