Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Halve baby potatoes and toss them with onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, rosemary, half of the salt and pepper. Spread on the baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes. Flip and roast for another 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
Pat the beef dry and season with remaining salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil over medium-high heat in batches until deep brown on all sides.
Reduce heat to medium-low; add butter to the skillet. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant; pour in beef broth and simmer briefly.
Return seared beef to the skillet and mix with garlic butter sauce. Add roasted potatoes and combine gently before serving.
