2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
12 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Season chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the chicken in olive oil until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
Cook pasta according to package directions; reserve some pasta water before draining.
In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in remaining Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika.
Add chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits. Pour in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened.
Toss cooked pasta and seared chicken into the sauce until well coated. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
Serve immediately garnished with parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.
