  • For the swirl: 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Mash bananas in a separate bowl and set aside.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  6. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients while alternating with mashed bananas.
  7. Combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the swirl mixture.
  8. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan; sprinkle half of the swirl mixture on top. Repeat with remaining batter and swirl mixture.
  9. Swirl gently with a knife for marbling effect.
  10. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
  11. Let cool before slicing; drizzle optional glaze made from powdered sugar mixed with milk and vanilla.
