  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 8 hamburger buns, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink (about 8-10 minutes).
  3. Add chopped onion and green bell pepper; cook until softened (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, condensed soup, oregano, basil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt; simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Toss hamburger bun pieces with melted butter until coated.
  6. Layer half of the meat mixture in the baking dish, followed by half of each cheese and half of the bun crumbs. Repeat these layers.
  7. Pour milk evenly over the top and bake for about 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let rest for about ten minutes before serving.
