  • 1 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine diced apples with optional apple cider and brown sugar. Cook until apples soften.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  4. Gradually add granulated sugar and mix until fluffy.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  6. Fold in cooled apple mixture gently.
  7. Add caramel topping and optional nuts; mix well.
  8. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.
  9. Serve at room temperature with your choice of dippers.
