2 large eggs, room temperature

1/4 cup packed light brown sugar

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until mostly smooth. Add melted butter, eggs, sugars, and vanilla extract; mix well until combined.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined; avoid overmixing.
If using add-ins, fold them in gently.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
