  • 1 cup warm water (105-115°F)
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup turkey pepperoni slices (or your choice of filling)
  • 1 large egg, beaten

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add olive oil and salt; mix well. Gradually incorporate flour until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl and cover; let rise for 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Divide dough into six pieces and roll each into a circle.
  6. Add pizza sauce, mozzarella, and desired fillings to each circle.
  7. Fold over and seal edges; brush with beaten egg.
  8. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook calzones for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
